Ksyxis
Speed up your Minecraft world loading by disabling spawn chunks.
Important Warning
Ksyxis mod does not work with 1.21.9 and newer versions. Minecraft developers completely removed spawn chunks in update 25w31a, so this optimization is now built into the game by default. Disabling other chunks (for example, around the player in singleplayer) doesn't make sense as they will still load when connecting to the server. Support for older Minecraft versions will continue for a reasonable time.
About the Modification
Minecraft has a concept of spawn chunks. These are world areas located at the player's initial spawn point that remain constantly loaded in memory. Depending on the game version, between 25 and 441 chunks are always active, even when you're far from the spawn point. Most players don't use these territories, moving to other locations and only occasionally returning to spawn. For them, creating and constantly loading spawn chunks becomes a waste of time and resources. This mod completely disables this function.

Note: Spawn chunks are sometimes used for creating automatic farms and technical constructions. If you need them, you can always remove the mod to restore the game's standard behavior.
Technical Requirements
The mod only requires Mixin, which is usually provided by the mod loader. The following platforms are supported:
- Fabric Loader, Quilt Loader, Forge, NeoForge, Legacy Fabric, and Ornithe
- Minecraft versions from 1.8 to 1.21.8
For Forge 1.8-1.15.2 only: Any Mixin provider of your choice is required.
Fabric API is NOT required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Where can I download this mod? Answer: Stable versions are available on major platforms. Unstable builds can be found in GitHub Actions, but a GitHub account is required to download them.
Question: The mod doesn't speed up loading. Answer: The effect may not be noticeable on powerful computers. The mod is designed primarily for weaker devices. Video demonstration shows the mod in action.
Question: Which Minecraft versions are supported? Answer: Minecraft from 1.8 to 1.21.8.
Question: Do I need Fabric API or Quilt Standard Libraries? Answer: No, but you can install them for other mods.
Question: Is the mod client-side or server-side? Answer: The mod works on the logical server side. This means it's effective in singleplayer and on dedicated servers. In multiplayer, there's no effect on the client. You can install it on the client or server without needing installation on the other side.
Question: How to force-load chunks after removing spawn chunks?
Answer: If you really need to force-load chunks, use the /forceload command in versions 1.13 and newer. For older versions, you can search for mods that add this function.
Question: Can I use the mod in my modpack? Answer: Of course. Attribution (for example, a link to the mod's GitHub page) is appreciated but not required. Monetization and distribution are allowed according to the MIT License.
