L2 Weaponry

The L2 Weaponry mod is a comprehensive expansion that dramatically enhances the weapon arsenal in Minecraft, offering various weapon types with unique characteristics and abilities.

Main Weapon Types

Weapon Types

Dagger - close-range weapon with high attack speed. Deals double damage to enemies who haven't noticed you. Works well with invisibility effects.

Claw - fast melee weapon where each consecutive attack increases damage. Blocks damage for a short time after successful hits. Dual-wielding raises maximum damage cap and increases sweeping attack range, while changing damage blocking from front to all directions.

Machete - similar to claw but with slower attack speed, standard range, and higher damage.

Hammer - slow weapon that deals armor-piercing damage.

Battle Axe - powerful weapon with slow attack, high damage, and sweeping attack ability. Can break shields.

Spear - long-range weapon with sweeping attacks.

Throwing Axe - throwable weapon similar to trident. Can be enchanted with Loyalty.

Javelin - throwable weapon that pierces enemies. When used in melee, has the same range as spear. Can be enchanted with Loyalty.

Round Shield - allows sprinting while holding shield. Has a shield bar that decreases when blocking damage and quickly recovers when not holding shield.

Plate Shield - resistant to shield-breaking attacks. Shield bar only decreases when blocking shield-breaking damage and quickly recovers when not holding shield. Can only be used in main hand. Reflects damage when timed correctly. Hitting enemies with it knocks them back significantly. Critical hits deal x3 damage instead of standard x1.5. All damage from plate shield bypasses armor.

Legendary Weapons

Legendary Weapons

These unique weapons can be crafted at a smithing table using special recipes:

  • Axe of Cursed Flame (battle axe) - inflicts soul flame on targets and protects holder from fire damage
  • Spear of Winter Storm (spear) - freezes targets and protects holder from powdered snow
  • Hammer of Incarceration (hammer) - immobilizes enemies within 8 blocks when performing a falling attack
  • Abyss Echo (hammer) - critical hits bypass magical protection
  • Abyss Resonance (machete) - after certain consecutive attacks, damage bypasses magical protection
  • Abyss Shock (dagger) - damage dealt to enemies not targeting you bypasses magical protection
  • Abyss Terror (battle axe) - damage dealt to enemies targeting you bypasses magical protection
  • Haunting Demon of the End (spear) - aim at target within 64 blocks and right-click to teleport near it
  • Shadow Hunter (dagger) - right-click target within 8 blocks to teleport behind it and clear its aggression. Damage penetrates armor if target is not targeting you
  • Shadow Shredder (machete) - inflicts levitation and slow falling on enemies
  • Void_escape (javelin) - not affected by gravity. When hitting a block, teleports to that position. Holder gets levitation and slow falling in void
  • Poseidon Madness (javelin) - strikes all hit enemies with lightning regardless of position and weather. Protects holder from fire and lightning damage
  • Vampire Desire (claw) - restores health based on damage dealt. Increases damage stack limit based on enemies killed
  • Barbaric Hallow (throwable axe) - damage penetrates armor, attacks increase target's armor value
  • Dogmatic Punishment (hammer) - on critical hit, increases damage by user's damage absorption
  • Dogmatic Standoff (battle axe) - gains damage absorption equal to 2% of target health, not exceeding 2% of target health
  • Blade of Illusion (machete) - when target has less lost health than consecutive damage dealt, next consecutive attack to same target increases that difference
  • Claw of Determination (claw) - when damage dealt is reduced, next consecutive attack to same target increases double the reduced amount

Enchantments (1.20+ only)

Enchantments

  • Ender Hand (throwing axe, javelin) - thrown attacks appear as direct hits
  • Stealth (dagger) - has chance to not aggravate enemy, but reduces damage
  • Heavy (axe, throwing axe, battle axe, hammer) - reduces attack speed, increases critical hit and projectile damage
  • Hard Shield (shields) - increases shield defense, works on either hand
  • Heavy Shield (shields) - greatly increases shield defense but reduces movement speed. Works on main hand only
  • Energized Will (machete) - gradually increases machete attack range when stacking consecutive attacks. Conflicts with Raised Spirit
  • Raised Spirit (machete) - gradually increases machete attack speed when stacking consecutive attacks. Conflicts with Energized Will
  • Ghost Slash (claw, machete) - empty hits also stack hit count and consume durability
  • Claw Shielding (claw) - increases damage blocking time for claws. Works on either hand

Twilight Forest Compatibility (1.20+ only)

  • Ironwood - repairs itself in Twilight Forest. Shield grants resistance when blocking damage
  • Steeleaf - deals more damage to mobs without armor and sometimes causes bleeding. Shield reflects partial damage on blocking
  • Knightmetal - damage increases based on mob armor value. Shield reflects partial damage on blocking
  • Fiery - deals more damage to mobs not immune to fire. Ignites mobs. Shield ignites mobs and grants fire resistance on blocking

Note: battle axes, spears, and javelins are large weapons with 2x the size of regular items. To make them have regular resolution in hand, they were made with 2x resolution in GUI.
