About the Mod
Legacy Nether: Extended is an enhancement of the original Legacy Nether mod that combines the nostalgic atmosphere of the Nether from console editions with the latest updates of modern Minecraft's Nether.
This modification is designed for players who want to experience the aesthetics and gameplay of the console Nether but wish to retain Netherite equipment, Bastions, and new biomes from contemporary Minecraft versions — ensuring no content is missed.
While the original Legacy Nether returned the Nether to its basic state, the Extended version reimagines this approach by integrating modern content in console-inspired styling — offering you the best of both worlds.
Key Features
- Bastion Remnants, fortresses, and other structures are present but styled to match the classic Nether Wastes environment
- Modern biomes — Crimson Forests, Warped Forests, Soul Sand Valleys, and Basalt Deltas — generate naturally, though mob spawning and loot tables are adapted to console mechanics
- Ancient Debris and Netherite equipment progression is fully supported for enthusiasts of modern endgame content
- Piglins, Hoglins, and Striders appear alongside classic mobs like Zombified Piglins, Ghasts, Magma Cubes, and Wither Skeletons
- In development: Nether Wart continues to generate naturally on Soul Sand in the wild
- Blaze Glowstone Dust drops are preserved for nostalgic farming purposes

Compatibility

Installation Guide
1. Download the modification file
2. Place it in your Minecraft client's mods/ folder
3. Launch the game using your preferred loader
4. Generate a new Nether (or explore unvisited areas) to experience the updated console-styled Nether
