Skill Progression System

Right from the start of a new world, the mod restricts access to almost all tools except the most basic wooden ones. To unlock more advanced tools and weapons, players must offer specific resources as sacrifices.

The sacrifice mechanic is implemented intuitively: simply place the required item in your offhand. Depending on the item type, you'll gain experience in corresponding skill categories. For example, wood improves gathering skills, while decayed items enhance combat proficiency.

New tools become available as you reach certain progression levels. All goals and development stages are displayed in the advancements tab labeled "Milestones".

Villager Quest System

Villagers now actively interact with players and offer various quests. To receive a quest, approach a villager and interact while crouching. During the first interaction, they'll describe their request, and a second interaction confirms accepting the quest.

Villager requests can range from gathering specific resources (like sweet berries or redstone) to eliminating hostile mobs. If you change your mind about a quest, you can cancel it by interacting with the same villager while crouching again. However, be aware that cancellation comes with a temporary penalty—you won't be able to receive new quests for one day.

Rewards for completing challenging quests match the invested effort. Among them are access to entirely new skill types, additional health after sleeping, a bestiary with information about the world's monsters, and many other useful bonuses.

Vanilla Mechanics Improvements

The developers redesigned the enchanting and repair systems, eliminating excessive planning related to experience levels. To repair a tool now, simply hold it in your main hand and place a similar item in your offhand. Interacting with an anvil will consume the offhand item, fully restore the main tool's durability, and slightly damage the anvil.

Anvils can also be repaired—just hold an iron block and interact with the worn anvil.

The enchanting system has become more exploration-focused. Throughout the world, you can find ancient scrolls and other enchanted artifacts in chests. To apply an enchantment, place your tool in the main hand, the artifact in your offhand, and use an enchanting table.

All found artifacts contain first-level enchantments. To achieve higher levels, you need to collect multiple identical enchantments.
