Level Up HP (Forge)
Forge version — a Fabric version is also available.
About the Mod
Level Up HP is a modification that introduces an RPG-style health progression system to Minecraft. By defeating mobs, you earn health experience (HP XP), which eventually allows you to increase health levels, adding extra hearts. The mod is designed with modpacks and servers in mind, offering full configurability of parameters.
You can configure starting and maximum health, experience requirements for leveling up, death penalties, resetting health levels upon death, and much more! Commands are also available, allowing operators or command blocks to manage the health experience and levels of any player.

Installation
- The mod requires Forge and Kottle to function.
- If you want to start the game with 10 hearts instead of 5, install the Level Up HP Easy Start data pack.
- Optionally, you can add Data Loader to apply settings globally rather than per save.
Key Features
- Increase maximum health by defeating mobs.
- Deep customization using data packs: starting health, maximum level, progression formulas, and penalty formulas. You can set experience values for specific mobs, including those added by other mods.
- Health experience indicator on the game screen.
- Heart containers — items that instantly increase health level. They can be added to dungeon treasures or used in adventure maps. By default, not available in survival mode.
- Level-up trigger for use in data packs, supporting range conditions for current and remaining levels.
- Check command (/leveluphp check) to view experience and level if other mods conflict with the HUD.
- Operator commands for managing experience and levels:
- /leveluphp [setxp|addxp|setlevel|addlevel]
- Compatible with command blocks and functions.
