Lifesteal

The Lifesteal mod for Minecraft draws inspiration from the original Lifesteal SMP plugin, where killing other players allows you to steal their hearts for your own enhancement.

Important note: this mod must be installed on both the SERVER and the CLIENT, as it adds new content and textures to the game!

🎯 Advantages of Choice

Why choose this version of Lifesteal? Almost all mod features can be customized through the configuration file and disabled according to your preferences.

🌟 Main Features

  • When all hearts are lost, the player can be banned or switched to spectator mode (configurable)
  • Automatic revival of players who lost all hearts after a certain time
  • New ore generating underground in the Overworld and Nether, used to craft various items
  • Crystals for finding the path to immortality
  • Crystal cores for healing wounds
  • Revival crystals for bringing players back after losing all hearts
  • New achievements and challenges
  • Unique structures to explore with their own lore
  • Compatibility with many other mods
  • Useful commands for console and operators

⚡ Mod Commands

All commands use the /ls prefix:

  • sethitpoints - change a player's maximum heart count
  • gethitpoints - view current heart count
  • withdraw - withdraw a specific number of hearts
  • reviveplayer - direct revival of a banned player (similar to using a revival crystal)

⛏️ Resource Generation

The mod adds new "Heart Ore" with several variants found in different biomes:

  • Heart ore in the Overworld generates at heights from -50 to 70
  • Heart ore in the Nether appears below ceiling level
  • Heart ore geodes can be found at depths around -20 in the Overworld
  • Richest geodes are located under lava in the Nether

Crafting recipes can be found through JEI/REI or learned in the Minecraft recipe book after discovering relevant items.

⚙️ Settings

The configuration file lifesteal-common.toml is located in the "config" folder of the Minecraft or server directory.
