Introduction

The Lightning Torch mod adds visual realism to standard Minecraft torches by making them emit light when held in your hand, whether in your main or off-hand. This feature is perfect for exploring caves, building at night, and any other activity where you need a portable light source.

Features

Dynamic Lighting – A torch held in your hand illuminates the surrounding area with the same power as a torch placed on a surface.

Adjustable Brightness – Use the /torchlight <0–15> command to instantly change the light level (default setting is 14). This allows you to adapt the brightness to your needs.

Client-Side Only – The mod works exclusively on the client side, so it doesn't require any server changes. This makes it lightweight and prevents potential conflicts with other mods.

No Additional Dependencies – Only Fabric Loader and Fabric API are required for operation. No additional mods or libraries need to be installed.

How to Use

1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API for Minecraft version 1.21.5
2. Place the LightningTorch-1.0.0.jar file in your game's mods/ folder
3. Launch Minecraft by selecting the Fabric profile
4. Take a torch in your main or off-hand – you'll immediately see it start emitting light

Commands

/torchlight – Shows your torch's current light level (from 0 to 15)

/torchlight <level> – Sets the specified brightness level for the held torch

Example: /torchlight 10 – The torch will shine at level 10

Installation

1. Download the latest version of LightningTorch-1.0.0.jar
2. Move the JAR file to Minecraft's mods/ directory
3. Launch the game using Fabric Loader
