LocalDiff - Plugin for Tracking Local Difficulty
The LocalDiff plugin for Minecraft 1.21 allows players to instantly determine the local difficulty level in their current chunk. Simply execute the /localdifficulty
command to get this information.
How the Calculation System Works
Local difficulty is calculated based on three key parameters:
- Inhabited Time - duration of player presence in the given chunk
- World Time - how long the game world has existed
- Set Difficulty - chosen game difficulty level (Easy, Normal, Hard)
Practical Application
After executing the /localdifficulty
command, the plugin instantly analyzes the current chunk and displays the local difficulty indicator directly in the chat. This information helps players assess the potential danger of the area, affecting mob spawning frequency and the overall gameplay difficulty in that location.
