LocalizedFishingTables
This datapack introduces revolutionary changes to Minecraft's fishing system by adding unique loot tables for different biomes. Now your catch will dramatically differ depending on where you cast your fishing rod!
Main Features
The system covers all major biome types, including:
- Cave biomes
- Dark forests
- Deep dark
- Desert territories
- End biomes
- Flower forests
- Jungles
- Lush caves
- Various secondary biomes
- Mountain ranges
- Mushroom biomes
- Ocean expanses
- Plains
- River streams
- Snowy landscapes
- Swamp areas
Important note: Standard fishing loot is completely preserved. The modification only supplements it with unique items for each biome.
Datapack Installation
- Download the datapack archive from the versions section
- Open Minecraft and select the desired world
- Click "Edit" in the main menu
- Go to the "Worlds" tab and open the world folder
- Find the "datapacks" folder and place the downloaded archive there
- In-game, execute the command:
/datapack enable "file/localized-fishing-tables"
Multiplayer note: On servers, the datapack needs to be installed in the main world folder (usually 'world'). For Fabric/Forge/Quilt, a mod version is available.
Mod Installation
- Forge: Simply add the mod file to the mods folder
- Fabric: Requires installed Fabric API
- Quilt: Requires Quilted Fabric API
Usage
After activating the datapack, loot tables are automatically applied to corresponding biomes. Simply fish in different locations to discover unique items, or use the /loot command for testing.
Configuration
You can customize loot tables by editing files in the data/adhdmc/loot_tables/gameplay/fishing folder. The files use Minecraft's standard loot table format and can be edited with any text editor.
