Locky
The Locky mod introduces an innovative container protection system for Minecraft, allowing you to securely lock any blocks with locking functionality. In the vanilla version of the game, this includes:
- Barrels
- Blast furnaces
- Chests (including trapped chests)
- Dispensers
- Droppers
- Furnaces
- Hoppers
- Shulker boxes
- Smokers
The system utilizes Minecraft's built-in locking mechanism, ensuring full compatibility with any modified blocks implementing the LockableContainerBlockEntity interface.
How to Use
To install a lock, rename an item to your desired password and, while holding Shift, right-click on the container. To access a locked block, simply right-click with any item bearing the same password name. To remove a lock, use a lockpick with the corresponding password name by pressing Shift+right-click - the lock will return to your inventory.
Players in creative mode can bypass any locks (configurable via the "locky:creativeLockBypass" gamerule) and open containers with any lockpick.
Additional Features
Locked containers preserve their contents when broken, similar to shulker boxes, providing additional security (configurable via "locky:protectLockedBlocks"). There is also the ability to rename any lockable containers using name tags.
