Logistical Mining - Comprehensive Reimagining of Resource Gathering
This modification implements two configurable core changes to the mining mechanics in Minecraft, completely transforming players' strategic approach to resources.
Smart Stack Size Limitations
![]()
The mod reduces the maximum stack size of most items to 16 units, while setting ores and raw materials to just 1 item per slot. The conceptual goal is to complicate organizational logistics and encourage players to more actively utilize underappreciated aspects of gameplay. Now you'll need to build proper railway systems from mines to your base for safe transport of gathered resources or actively employ llamas and donkeys as pack animals.
All limitations can be finely tuned through the configuration file, and items from other mods can be added under existing rules.
Entry-Level Railway Infrastructure
![]()
To simplify construction of initial railway networks, wooden rails have been added. They are characterized by cheap production cost but gradually deteriorate over time, especially during adverse weather conditions.
Infinite Ore Deposits
(For version 1.18.x)
![]()
Deep within ore veins there's a small chance to discover unique deposits. Remember: don't break them using conventional methods! Craft a special hammer block and use pistons to direct its strike against the deposit. Each hit will release a small quantity of resources or byproduct blocks. This feature can be disabled in configuration settings, or the rarity of deposit generation can be adjusted to make their discovery more challenging.
