LOTR Improvements

Mod Overview

LOTR Improvements is a collection of client-side enhancements for the LOTR Legacy mod (version 1.7.10) that significantly improve gameplay and add useful visual elements.

Main Features

Pouch Contents Viewer

Displays pouch contents directly in container interface through tooltips. Compatible with NEI search and offers settings for colors, text, and empty slot display.

Attack Indicator

Adds the attack indicator from Minecraft versions 1.9+, adapted to LOTR mod weapon characteristics (speed and reach). Configurable display when in range, for specific entities, and indicator size and position.

Alignment Display

Shows exact alignment value under the alignment bar located below player title.

Item Counters

Displays total count of specific LOTR items, including those stored in pouches.

Trader Finder

Reports trader coordinates in chat when they spawn within visibility range. Displays beacon beam, name, and distance above traders. Beam colors depend on alignment. Configurable beam display, names, distance, chat coordinates, and selection of all traders or only traveling ones.

World Waypoints

Displays beacon beam, name, and distance for each waypoint on the LOTR map, including custom waypoints and invasion spawn points.

Mount Information

Shows beacon beam and username of the player who tamed each mount.

Health Display

Shows hearts or health bars above entity heads. Configurable display through walls, only when in range, or only when looking at an entity.

Anvil HUD

Shows required materials for an item and displays item preview in an anvil.

Colored Chat Events

Colors various LOTR chat events, such as hired NPC leveling, deaths, or invasion spawns (compatible across different languages).

LOTR Debug Information

Displays LOTR-related information in the F3 debug menu. Full information list available in mcmod.info and changelog.

Important Notes

When using this mod, do NOT use standalone versions of Pouch Viewer and Attack Indicator. If you already have these mods installed and plan to use LOTR Improvements, remove the pouch viewer and attack indicator jar files. Also do not use this mod with LOTR Improvements LITE.

The mod works on client side.

Compatible with LOTR Mod: Legacy v36.15 and Eras of Arda First Age: Legacy Submod v2.7.2.
