Lucky's Mineshafts and Miner Companions
Tired of the monotonous standard mines in Minecraft? This mod completely changes the approach to underground mining! Instead of the usual modest mineshafts, you'll get access to large-scale underground complexes with unique generation, where you'll find rich ore deposits and a whole range of new characters and creatures with special abilities.
New Dangerous Mine Inhabitants
Obsidian Spider
These formidable creatures inhabit exclusively the deep halls of the mines. Large, swift, and frightening, they possess 70 hearts of health and can create cobwebs in front and behind themselves during combat, making them serious opponents. Although they cannot be tamed, you can temporarily ride the spider as a respite in battle. Upon death, there's a chance to obtain diamonds and obsidian blocks.
Obsidian Bat
These creatures hang from ceiling beams in the mines and activate when light levels increase, players approach, or when hit by projectiles. They attack players and tamed mobs, but if left alone, they may return to the ceiling and fall asleep again. Drops an obsidian block upon death.
Useful Miner Assistants
Rock Miners
When encountering rock materials at eye level, these workers break any stone materials with hardness up to 2 units (stone, cobblestone, granite, diorite, andesite, etc.) in a small radius, leaving ores exposed for convenient player mining. They have low health and weak combat skills, but unlike other miners, they place torches in dark areas, illuminating the path. Tamed with gold ingots and follow the player if they have a gold ingot in hand.
Rock Drillers
Have the same mining abilities as rock miners but possess more health and are stronger in combat. Tamed with emeralds and follow the player with an emerald in hand.
Armoured Rock Drillers
Work exclusively with deepslate. Also break obsidian blocks located next to, above, or below them (except when there's lava directly beneath the obsidian). Possess enormous health reserves and combat abilities - immune to projectiles, fire, and lava, and explode upon death, damaging the attacker. Tamed with diamonds and follow the player with a diamond in hand.
Hostile Miners
Rock Miner Zombie
A hostile mob, not particularly strong in combat but capable of breaking through any stone materials with hardness less than 2 units to attack players, villagers, or animals. To protect your home from these creatures, you'll need alternative fortifications or stronger building materials.
The mod works exclusively with Forge.
