Lumberworker
About the Modification
Lumberworker is a concise addition that introduces a new villager profession called Lumberworker and a unique block called Saw. This specialized villager offers players various types of wood characteristic of different biomes. All tradable items can be finely configured using a datapack by editing the lumberworker:tradeable_logs and lumberworker:tradeable_saplings tags.
Saw Block Functionality
The Saw block has the ability to automatically harvest wood from adjacent blocks. This results in more efficient processing of logs into planks - one log yields as many as 6 planks. If you want to preserve logs in their original form, simply apply a redstone signal to the saw. The block is also compatible with piston mechanisms, opening up wide possibilities for process automation. The list of processable wood types is configurable through the lumberworker:sawable_logs tag.
Generation Features
The new villager and their workplace appear exclusively in taiga villages, where they replace the mason. Meanwhile, the Saw block itself can be crafted using the recipe: 6 smooth stone blocks and 3 iron ingots.
