Machinal Mod

ATTENTION: Using JEI and carefully reading the description is highly recommended for full understanding of the mod mechanics!

Machinal is a technology mod that adds various industrial blocks for process automation to Minecraft, along with special armor.

New Resources and Materials

Chromite

• Generates as chromite ore in high mountain areas
• Obtained chromite dust must be smelted in an Induction Kiln (see multiblock structures) to produce chromium ingots
• Smelting cost: 200 FE
• Chromium ingots can be processed into dust using the Shredder

Bauxite

• Found deep underground in large but sparse veins
• Located at medium depths, not reaching deepslate level
• Raw bauxite is smelted in an Induction Kiln into aluminum ingots
• Smelting cost: 100 FE
• Aluminum ingots are used for creating blocks

Steel

• Produced exclusively as ingots
• Created in an Alloy Mixer from one chromium ingot and one iron block
• Energy consumption: 500 units

Multiblock Structures and Energy Transfer

Induction Kiln

Arrange the main blocks in a plus shape with 4 induction coils on the sides and 4 casing elements at the corners. Activation is done by interacting with the central block - successful assembly will produce a characteristic background sound. Power is supplied directly to the kiln block itself.

Alloy Mixer

Place the main block, then stack 2 blocks of any material vertically above it. Surround the entire structure at each block level with fireproof bricks (made from fired fireproof clay). Activation and power connection are similar to the previous structure.

Shredder

Place an induction coil, surround it with 4 aluminum blocks in a cross pattern, and place the shredder block on top. Power is supplied directly to the shredder.

Structure Disassembly

Any multiblock structure can be dismantled by destroying one of the required auxiliary blocks.

FE Energy System

Use the FE tester to monitor energy levels - a portable tool that displays energy indicators of any blocks.

Power Generation

• Manual Crank: Basic power source with failure risk (1/75 chance per use). Only powers the block directly beneath it.
• Wood Generators: Automatic power source running on wood fuel (2 wood blocks placed diagonally in crafting table). Transmits energy only to horizontally adjacent blocks.

Energy Transfer

Redstone shafts of two types transfer energy through chains in any direction. The side with redstone dust and wooden circle is output, gears with redstone dust is input. Instruments display current power transmission levels.

Exosuit and Charging

The complete steel exosuit set temporarily grants the wearer strength, slowness, jump boost, and haste effects. The armor gradually wears out during use - use the charging station for restoration (15 RU per 30 durability units).
