About the Modification

The Magnum Torch mod adds three types of powerful torches to the game that effectively block mob spawning over a huge area. It's important to note that only natural creature spawning is prevented - mobs from spawners and raids continue to function normally.

Torch Types and Their Functions

Each torch you craft affects specific categories of mobs. Keep in mind that existing creatures in the world won't instantly disappear after placing a torch - only the appearance of new ones is blocked.

• Diamond Torch: Protects against all hostile mobs, including zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, phantoms, and other monsters
• Emerald Torch: Prevents the appearance of passive creatures such as wandering traders and their llamas (technically affects animals too, but in practice this is unnoticeable since they only appear during world generation or breeding)
• Amethyst Torch: Blocks the appearance of cave and aquatic inhabitants: bats, all types of squids, axolotls, and fish

Flexible Configuration

Each torch type is fully customizable! You can modify:

• Effective range
• Protection zone shape (cuboid, cylinder, ellipsoid)
• Whitelist and blacklist for individual mobs
• Types of blocked creatures

This allows you to completely redefine the functionality of the torches. For example, one type can block only phantoms, another - exclusively wandering traders, and a third - disable all fish. Everything depends on your preferences!

Q: How do I configure this mod on Forge? A: Install the Config Menus for Forge mod and configure parameters directly in the game!

Q: How do I configure this mod on Fabric? A: In-game configuration editing hasn't been implemented yet. Instead, while in a world, execute the command /config showfile <modid>, choosing either CLIENT or SERVER (depending on the mod), then click on the file name (with .toml extension) that appears in chat to manually edit the configuration file in a separate editor. After saving the file, the configuration will automatically reload in the game after a few seconds, no game restart required.
