Mod Overview

Mama's Marvelous Materials is a comprehensive decorative modification that completely transforms the visual aspect of Minecraft. The mod adds a vast array of new building materials, unique biomes, and various crafting mechanisms for creating stunning constructions.

Main Features

The modification includes several systems of decorative elements:

Unique Trees and Biomes

The world features the Ornamental Forest - a special biome filled with flowering trees of various species. Each tree has unique bark texture, wood color, and characteristic blossoms. Among the presented species: Cedar, Crabapple, Dogwood, Jacaranda, Laburnum, Paulownia, Carolina Silverbell, and Wisteria.

Coloring System

Using special tools, you can collect flowers from trees and process them into pigments. These pigments are used for coloring clay, creating bricks of various colors, and producing stain for wooden blocks. 16 different colors are available for all material types.

Gemstones and Mosaics

The world generates 12 types of gemstone ores: Amethyst, Aventurine, Carnelian, Chalcopyrite, Citrine, Jade, Jasper, Labradorite, Mica, Moonstone, Rose Quartz, and Sodalite. Mined stone fragments can be crushed in a mortar to create decorative mosaic tiles.

Functional Elements

The mod adds many useful blocks: bookshelves, pressure plates, buttons, trapdoors, storage chests, vases for flowers, and various door types. All elements are available in different styles and colors.

Mechanics and Tools

Mortar and Pestle

This tool is used for grinding collected flowers into pigments and crushing gemstones into fragments. In newer mod versions, the mortar became an interactive block rather than a crafting table item.

Pruning Shears

Special scissors for collecting flowers from trees. They have limited durability - approximately 24 uses.

Potions

Two special potions are available:

• Gatherer's Glee - doubles the amount of harvested logs and ores
• Floral Fortune - allows collecting flowers without using pruning shears

Compatibility and Requirements

For Minecraft versions 1.21.1 and above, only TerraBlender for NeoForge is required. For versions from 1.18 to 1.20.1, the Patchouli mod is additionally needed.

Settings and Configuration

The mod includes a detailed configuration file allowing customization of:

• Ornamental Forest spawn frequency
• Tree types with vines
• Vine growth speed
• Generation of all ore types

The mod usage guide automatically appears in inventory when creating a new world.
