In the world of Minecraft, the experience and level system operates completely differently from traditional games. In this sandbox, "experience" functions as a resource that can be collected and expended, especially for crafting magical items. This unique energy system is more accurately described as magical energy or mana.

Mana Wells represent mystical sources that gradually accumulate magical energy (game experience) over time. Any player approaching such a source can instantly collect all stored mana through simple contact.
Location and Discovery
These unique structures can only be found in the deepest parts of the world - near bedrock, where they draw magical power from the void. This placement makes the search for wells a true adventure, requiring thorough preparation and caution.
Operation Cycle
After being emptied, the Mana Well enters a dormant state for one complete Minecraft day. During this period, it transforms into a "magical drain," capable of absorbing energy from the surrounding world. Staying near a dormant well is dangerous - you risk losing part of your experience!
Once the resting period ends, the source begins generating mana again. Reaching the optimal filling level (marked by a red spot in the center) requires approximately one Minecraft lunar cycle. After passing this threshold, the accumulation rate gradually slows, but the generation process continues.
Gameplay Features
The modification serves as an alternative experience source, helping reduce constant grinding time. However, remember:
- Mana Wells are exceptionally rare discoveries
- Excavations at bedrock level involve significant risks (lava lakes)
- The wells cannot be destroyed or relocated
- Sources of magical energy attract witches who also seek to claim the valuable mana
The mod's creation was inspired by magical vaults from the game Dungeon Keeper.
The maximum capacity of a well at optimal level reaches 560 experience units or more, making it a valuable and desirable discovery for any adventurer.
