Many Mooblooms Mod: Flower Cows Make a Comeback!

Many Mooblooms Mod: Flower Cows Make a Comeback!

Welcome to Many Mooblooms - a modification that brings back the legendary flower cows from Minecraft Earth to Minecraft! Previously, this mod was known as Trash's Mooblooms.

Charming Floral Creatures

Various moobloom variants appear in the game - creatures resembling cows but with magnificent flowers on their backs. There are 16 unique types in total, matching Minecraft's color palette. Each of them grows a completely new, previously unseen flower on its back:

  • White (Thunderbloom)
  • Light Gray (Bellflower)
  • Gray (Silver Iris)
  • Black (Withercup)
  • Brown (Boat Orchid)
  • Red (Trillium)
  • Orange (Butterfly Weed)
  • Yellow (Buttercup)
  • Lime (Conbush)
  • Green (Gladioli)
  • Cyan (Centian)
  • Light Blue (Myosotis)
  • Blue (Dayflower)
  • Purple (Morning Glory)
  • Magenta (Butterfly Candy)
  • Pink (Tropical Hibiscus)

Gameplay and Mechanics

Not all mooblooms can be found in the wild. Only yellow, blue, and red variants appear spontaneously, while most others can be obtained by breeding existing flower cows and mixing their colors.

Like mushroom cows, flowers can be collected from mooblooms using shears. However, unlike their counterparts that turn into regular cows, these floral beauties gradually grow new blooms - it takes about 20 minutes for full restoration.

Useful Interactions

You can befriend flower cows! Right-clicking them with a dyeable item will dye that item with the characteristic color of the particular moobloom - an excellent alternative to traditional dyes.

Mooblooms also help local fauna - they are friends with bees, allowing insects to pollinate their flowers and remaining calm during the process.

MODPACK AND DATAPACK DEVELOPERS

This mod includes 17 biome tags. The main tag #trashs_mooblooms:moobloom_spawnable plus a separate tag for each color with the name: #trashs_mooblooms:<color>_moobloom_spawnable.

Biomes from the main tag allow mooblooms to appear naturally. Using color tags restricts appearance to certain colors in assigned biomes - if there are multiple options, the choice will be random. Biomes from color tags naturally fall into the main tag here.

If a biome is in the main tag but not in any color tags - the moobloom's color will default to yellow there.

There is also a block tag #trashs_mooblooms:moobloom_spawnable_on - blocks suitable for their appearance are assigned to the standard set for animal spawning in the world.
