About the Mod

Marvelous Menagerie: Paradoxical is an independent project that blends the concepts of two old addons for Unusual Prehistory: Marvelous Menagerie and Odd Organisms. It brings a host of new creatures from ancient times into the world of Minecraft.

The mod's standout feature is its unique 'revival' system for prehistoric creatures, using rifts in spacetime to call back these beings from the depths of epochs. The player not only gathers resources but also participates in a special minigame for discovering ancient fossils and battles mighty monsters emerging from naturally occurring temporal rifts.

Upon defeating these creatures, you will gain materials to build a special altar to summon your first animals. Create the right environment and begin breeding your creatures to assemble the prehistoric park of your dreams!

Getting Started

To begin your adventure, craft two key items:

• Paleontology Toolkit: essential equipment for the careful extraction of fossils without damaging them.
• Paleonomicon: a knowledge book that explains all stages of reviving ancient species.

When you uncover a fossil, you will engage in a minigame where you must carefully excavate the discovery within a time limit to keep it intact. Meanwhile, remain vigilant as temporal anomalies can occur naturally, spawning dangerous beasts. Defeating them grants access to resources for crafting artifacts and summoning animals.

Select your desired species, construct the altar, perform the ritual, and populate your pristine park!
