Metalmith
This mod expands equipment creation possibilities in Minecraft by adding four completely new alloys crafted from materials already available in the base game. You won't need to search for new ores - all components are already familiar to every player.
Copper Items
Now you can create not just decorative copper blocks, but full-fledged weaponry! You have access to swords, pickaxes, axes, shovels, and even armor made from copper. Copper nuggets are also added for more convenient crafting. In terms of characteristics, copper items surpass stone and leather equivalents but fall short of iron ones.
Silicon Bronze
This alloy is crafted by combining copper ingot with diorite. The resulting mixture must be smelted in a blast furnace to produce silicon bronze ingot.
Main features:
- You can upgrade copper equipment to bronze using a smithing table (no template needed)
- For repairs, use regular copper ingots
- In recipes for rails, minecarts, and cauldrons, iron is replaced with silicon bronze - with double the output of finished items
- In terms of characteristics, the alloy surpasses iron but falls short of diamond
Vein Gold
Created from gold ingot and Nether quartz, which are smelted in a blast furnace. This unique alloy has special properties:
- Tools: mining speed and enchantability like gold, but higher durability, and damage comparable to stone
- Armor: protection like gold, but increased toughness and durability, plus the ability to pacify Piglins
You can upgrade gold equipment through a smithing table and repair with regular gold ingots.
Flam Iron
A powerful alloy created from iron, obsidian, and magma block. After smelting in a blast furnace, you get a flam iron ingot.
Properties:
- Characteristics same as diamond equipment, but with significantly higher durability
- Upgrades iron equipment through a smithing table
- For repairs, regular iron ingots suffice
MineColonies Compatibility
With the MineColonies mod installed, your colony's blacksmiths and mechanics will learn to work with new materials:
- Blacksmiths learn copper recipes at level 1
- Master silicon bronze and vein gold at level 3
- Flam iron becomes available at level 4
- No blast furnace needed - colonists handle the smelting themselves
Texture Unification
The mod automatically replaces standard armor textures from both the base game and MineColonies, ensuring a unified visual style for all types of equipment.
