Minebic Modification
Important note: this pack is still work in progress and most blocks are currently unavailable.
This project draws inspiration from the "Chubik" cube concept and offers a completely new approach to in-game visual design. Instead of traditional textures, block surfaces display their names, creating a unique gaming experience.
While this significantly complicates visual block recognition, mastery of object identification remains possible—players need to carefully read the block names. This mechanic opens exciting possibilities for the survival genre and substantially increases gameplay difficulty.
The main feature is an updated version of the popular Chubik texture pack, completely rebuilt from scratch using Minecraft's standard font. This preserves the recognizability of game mechanics while offering an entirely new visual presentation.
In the current version 0.1, textures are created at 1024x resolution and downscaled to 128x for optimal balance between quality and performance. Starting from version 0.2, the original 512x resolution is used with subsequent reduction to 128x, and certain blocks, including foliage, feature color elements.
This texture pack is designed for true connoisseurs of challenging gameplay—most objects appear as white surfaces with black text labels, making every in-game action deliberate and well-considered.
