MiniHUD Update Port

MiniHUD is a Minecraft client-side modification that offers a comprehensive suite of interface information elements and visualizations, which can be described as an "enhanced F3 experience".

Main Features

The mod allows selection from numerous information lines similar to data from the standard F3 debug screen, but in a much more convenient and customizable format. Additionally, various visual overlays are available:

  • Light level display
  • Slime spawning chunks
  • World spawn areas
  • Structure boundaries (ancient cities, fortresses, and other constructions)
  • Region file boundaries
  • Geometric shapes: circles, spheres, and other forms

Important Compatibility Information

Important! MiniHUD works exclusively on the client side. Installing it on a server is pointless - functionality is absent. For server capabilities, it's recommended to use the Servux mod.

System Requirements

MiniHUD requires the MaLiLib library, which provides the configuration system, settings menus, and hotkey system. There are no other mandatory dependencies.

Controls

By default, the main hotkey for managing visualization is H:

  • Disables ALL mod functions, including information lines and overlays
  • Configuration menu is accessed with H + C combination

Operational Features

Sphere

In the current version, sphere display is partially impaired after the update for Minecraft 1.18, when shape generation was rewritten. As a temporary solution, you can use the adjustable spawn sphere, although it's not perfectly symmetrical.

Structure Boundaries

The structure boundaries overlay works in single player and on servers with the Servux mod installed. Only this mod can transmit actual structure boundary data from the world upon MiniHUD's request.

Slime Chunks

Slime chunk visualization shows only which chunks are slime chunks, not displaying their spawning height. By default, the overlay's top boundary is set at the player's position when the function is enabled. Height can be adjusted by holding the hotkey and scrolling the mouse wheel.

Multiplayer Operation

To use the slime chunk overlay on a server, you need to specify the world seed. This can be done via chat with the command minihud-seed [seed] - the message won't be sent to the server. In newer versions, the slash variant is supported: /minihud-seed [seed].

Mod Evolution

Modern mod versions (starting from 0.11.0) use an improved configuration system through MaLiLib. Development continues for version 1.12.2, making it not "outdated" but actively supported.
