Mist Biomes
Welcome to the world of mysterious mists! The Mist Biomes mod fundamentally transforms familiar Minecraft biomes, adding an atmosphere of enigmatic foggy landscapes.
What is Mist?
Mist represents a mysterious haze that envelops certain Minecraft biomes. This mystical substance prevents the growth of ordinary flowers and attracts more monsters during nighttime hours. (In version 1.18.1, increased mob spawning is temporarily disabled and will be fixed in future updates).
New Biomes
Currently, the mod adds 7 completely new biomes created based on classic vanilla locations. Each of these biomes can be disabled through the mod's configuration file:
- Misty Forest
- Misty Plains
- Misty Desert
- Misty Taiga
- Snowy Mist Taiga
- Misty Swamp
- Misty Mushroom Island
- Misty Badlands
Mist Project
Mist Biomes is part of the extensive Mist Project, inspired by the mist concept from the RPG Final Fantasy IX. The project includes Mist Core (a small mod providing basic functionality for working with mist) and this mod, which adds basic misty biomes. Future plans include the release of additional mods that will introduce unique monsters, structures, and integration with other popular mods such as Thermal Expansion and Thaumcraft!
Technical Requirements
The mod requires Mist Core to function. For Minecraft versions 1.18.1 and above, Terrablender is also necessary.
