Moar Boats — Enhanced Water Transportation in Minecraft

🚤 Expanding Aquatic Transport Capabilities

Inspired by vanilla minecarts, this modification introduces modular boats with diverse functionalities, offering numerous new ways to transport items across water surfaces!

🛶 New Boat Types

Animal Boat — A spacious watercraft capable of transporting various creatures, provided they fit inside.

Modular Boat — The mod's main attraction! Allows installation of various modules to customize and automate your aquatic experience.

Utility Boats — Created by combining blocks with wooden boats. Bring essential parts of your base with you on voyages. All supported blocks retain their full functionality while onboard!

Supported blocks: Crafting Table, Loom, Cartography Table, Grindstone, Stonecutter, Chest, Ender Chest, Shulker Boxes, Furnace, Smoker, Blast Furnace, Jukebox.

🚢 Aquatic Caravans

Connect boats using rope items: first click the following boat, then the leading vessel. In a caravan, only the front boat needs fuel and navigation!

⚙️ Modular Systems

Install modules by right-clicking the boat with corresponding items. All modules are categorized into four types: Storage, Navigation, Engine, and Miscellaneous.

Simple Modules

Chest Module (Storage — Chest block) — Adds item storage capacity. Can be filled and emptied using hoppers.

Fishing Module (Miscellaneous — any Fishing Rod) — Automatically catches fish. Requires an installed Storage module.

Seat Module (Storage — Seat item) — Enables sitting positions within the boat.

Rudder Module (Navigation — Rudder item) — Controls boat movement. Requires Seat module installation. Can be set to non-blocking mode.

Boat Paddles (Engine — Paddles item) — Provides vanillal ike boat control mechanics.

Anchor Module (Miscellaneous — Anvil block) — Sets spawn point at anchor location and immobilizes the boat.

Ice Breaker (Miscellaneous — Ice breaker item) — Breaks ice formations ahead of the boat.

Diving Module (Miscellaneous — Diving Bottle item) — Provides Respiration effect to players within 20 blocks.

Boat Fluid Tank (Storage — Fluid Tank block) — Holds various liquids (configurable capacity). Use Fluid Loader/Unloader for operation.

Boat Battery (Storage — Boat Battery block) — Stores RF/FE energy (configurable capacity). Use Energy Charger/Discharger.

Chunk Loading (Miscellaneous — Chunk Loader item) — Maintains loaded chunks in a 3x3 area around the boat (server configurable).

Dispenser/Dropper Modules (Storage — Dispenser/Dropper blocks) — Dispense/drop blocks and items in specified directions. Supports 3-block height output columns. Dispenser module can also place blocks.

Engine Modules

Engine modules propel the modular boat in straight lines. Activation required after installation. Speed adjustment available in menu.

Solar Engine (Engine — Daylight Sensor block) — Operates only during daylight hours.

Furnace Engine (Engine — Furnace block) — Powered by any vanilla furnace-compatible fuel plus torches & magma blocks.

Creative Engine (Engine — Creative engine item) — Creative mode exclusive, provides unlimited operation.

Engine modules can be disabled using redstone signals (e.g., Waterborne Redstone Conductors).

Sonar Module (Navigation — Note Blocks)

This experimental feature enables boats to follow river paths during movement.

Helm Module (Navigation — Helm item)

One of the mod's most crucial modules! Use filled maps to plot routes for autonomous boat navigation.

Since paths cannot be directly saved to maps, the mod provides additional items:

Map with Path — Crafted from normal maps or converted within Helm module interface. Contains normal map data with embedded route information.

Golden Tickets — All copies of a single ticket remain synchronized: route modifications update all existing tickets simultaneously. Ideal for fleet management.

Mapping Table

This special block enables route editing for Maps with Path and Golden Tickets: add/insert/remove/edit/reorder waypoints. Waypoints can also be created by entering X,Z coordinates directly.
