Mob Catalog
The Mob Catalog mod expands the Minecraft world with five new creatures, each with unique features and behaviors. You can flexibly configure mob spawning through the configuration file - all are active by default, but you can disable any of them if desired.
Capybara
These peaceful animals inhabit jungles, sparse jungles, and swamps. Use melon slices for breeding. Capybaras have a useful ability - they can process various items. For example, they turn regular wood into stripped wood, melons into melon slices, and mangrove roots into sticks.
Crab
Crabs inhabit beaches and mangrove swamps. When they grow up, they drop claws that can be equipped in your main or off-hand to extend block placement and breaking range. When killed, crabs drop crab legs - an edible product that can be cooked. They breed using kelp and feel equally comfortable both in water and on land. Crabs can also climb logs and mangrove roots.
Penguin
Penguins spawn on stony shores, moving with their characteristic waddle on land or swimming in water. If you boat next to a penguin in water, you'll receive a temporary speed boost. Use crab legs or fish for breeding (if crabs are disabled in settings).
Sloth
Sloths inhabit jungles and come in two different species - individuals can only breed within their own species. These creatures can climb trees and hang from the underside of logs. Use leaves for breeding. Although sloths currently don't provide practical benefits, the next update plans to add the ability to use them for collecting saplings.
Stonemaw
These rare creatures spawn in caves. They are hostile towards players but can be tamed by feeding them a diamond. Tamed stonemaws will follow you and obey the "sit" command. If you press Shift + Right-click on a tamed creature, you'll gain access to its internal inventory.
