Mob Charms

Get unique Minecraft creature abilities in the form of wearable amulets!

The Mob Charms modification offers a completely new approach to obtaining mob abilities - through special talismans that can be equipped. Instead of transforming into creatures, you carry their power with you!

What's required for use

For the mod to work, you need to have Curios API installed - a system for additional equipment slots.

Collection of amulets

Zombie Amulet

Crafted from rotten flesh and a bone block. Allows you to summon zombie reinforcements by pressing the Z key. Summoned zombies are identical to normal ones but have less attack range. Be careful in the sun - you'll start burning!

Spider Amulet

Crafted from string and a spider eye. Gives the ability to climb walls by simply looking at a closely positioned block.

Slime Amulet

Made from slimeballs and a slime block. Removes the ability to walk and run but significantly increases jump height.

Creeper Amulet

Created from gunpowder, copper ingots, and a TNT block. Provides complete protection from explosions and the ability to explode by pressing Z. However, the amulet doesn't protect from its own explosions - you'll need blast protection to survive. Avoid fire, or you'll lose control of the ability!

Crafted from wool and raw mutton. Allows you to eat grass by clicking on a grass block, restoring half a heart of health. There's a cooldown between meals.

Warden Amulet

Made from echo shards and a sculk catalyst. Allows launching a sonic boom at mobs, dealing 9 magic damage and piercing through 5 targets. However, vision becomes severely impaired, making aiming difficult.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: NeoForge/Fabric/Quilt support?

Answer: No.

Question: Will there be porting to versions below/above 1.20.1?

Answer: No. Version porting causes bugs, is annoying, and generally not enjoyable. Modding is my passion project. If I don't enjoy modding, I won't do it.

Question: Can I port this mod to Fabric/Quilt/NeoForge?

Answer: Go ahead. All I ask is to credit me in the description and link to the original mod page.

Question: Can I use this mod in my modpack?

Answer: Of course. You can give credit if you want, but I won't insist on it.
