Mob Loot Block
This mod provides players with the ability to create special blocks that can perform three main functions: change spawners to specific mob types, summon particular creatures, or obtain mob loot drops.
How It Works
To obtain the necessary materials, you'll need a weapon enchanted with "Curse of Essence Binding" (a unique enchantment available after level 10). When killing mobs with such a weapon, you receive "mob bits" that contain the essence of the slain creature.
The crafting process occurs in stages:
- 9 mob bits create mob pieces
- 9 mob pieces form mob chunks
- 9 mob chunks transform into mob loot blocks
This system resembles the mechanics of soulshards or deep mob learning, where accumulating a certain number of kills is necessary to create a way to summon a specific mob.
Compatibility and Availability
Currently, the mod includes loot blocks for ALL vanilla mobs. Crafting recipes for bits, pieces, chunks, and blocks exist only for those creatures that are on the default allowed list. Any block you see in JEI or the creative tab can be obtained in survival mode.
