
Moves Like Mafuyu
This compact mod is action-oriented and aims to enhance the movement experience while exploring the game world and building.
Sliding
- Press the sneak key while sprinting to activate sliding - this provides a slight acceleration and allows movement through narrow passages one block high.
- After sliding ends, sprinting automatically resumes. Sliding can be interrupted by jumping or moving backward (in the latter case, sprint does not recover).
- When descending slopes, the slide duration refreshes, ensuring continuous downhill movement.
- Sliding on water surfaces activates "Water Skipping": a small leap forward with continued sliding. By default, up to 2 skips are available.
- Additional feature: colliding with entities directly in front during sliding knocks them back but reduces your own momentum.
Climbing
- Jump towards two-block-high obstacles to climb them - the mechanism is similar to climbing regular ladders (invisible ladders are available on all sides).
- Climbing restrictions: non-solid blocks above the obstacle (slabs, leaves, ice), you must be facing the obstacle, and it cannot be one block high.
- Hold the sneak key while climbing to pause. A normal jump from this position helps overcome three-block obstacles with non-solid tops.
- Prevent falling by holding sneak when slipping off edges - this uses a more lenient climbing detection mechanism.
Swimming
- Press the sprint key when contacting water (even in shallow one-block depth) to enter swimming mode.
- Easy access to "Free Swimming" (the ability to breathe and swim simultaneously at the surface) - activation requirements are significantly lower compared to the base game.
- "Aquatic Boost": press sprint while swimming for a short forward burst (consumes oxygen).
- "Water Gliding": press jump in free swimming mode to leap out of the water and transition into sliding or water skipping.
Crawling
- Double-tap sneak to start crawling (movement in one-block-high spaces, as in the base game). A single tap cancels the action.
- Normal jumps are allowed by default. The "jump-to-cancel" option can be enabled in settings.
- "Dive Roll": press sneak immediately after a sprint jump to enter crawling with a forward boost (does not cancel automatically upon landing).
- Transition from crawling to sliding - press sneak. After sliding, the crawling state is maintained.
Additional Information
- Uses only standard controls: Sneak, Jump, Sprint. Additional keybindings are not required.
- Most features are configurable via configuration files, with server settings taking priority.
- Compatibility: conflicts with TaCZ's crawling mechanics. A developed addon disables TaCZ crawling and allows shooting while sliding.
- Complex movement combinations are available: for example, sprint-slide-jump-dive roll (theoretically jumps up to 8 blocks). Future plans include adding high-skill ceiling features.
- The Chinese name originated from jokes in the Bilibili comment section: 高速企鹅!
