Nadir
The Nadir mod represents a fundamental transformation of the enchanting system in Minecraft, inspired by the popular Apotheosis mod. It completely reimagines the enchanting mechanics, making the process more profound and customizable, going beyond simply adding bookshelves.
Updated Enchanting System
The traditional enchanting table has undergone significant changes. Interacting with a newly placed table opens a special menu where you can choose between enchanting items or dismantling the table. Importantly, only the table's owner can dismantle it, ensuring compatibility with territory protection systems on multiplayer servers.
In enchanting mode, four key parameters affecting the outcome are displayed:
⚡ Eterna (Eternity)
Basic enchanting power that increases spell levels.
- Example: 15 Eterna allows enchanting at level 30, while 30 allows enchanting at level 60
- Maximum: 30
🔥 Quanta (Chaos)
Randomness element that amplifies enchanting level within ± half of its value.
- Example: 50 Quanta provides an amplification range from -25% to +25%
- Maximum: 100%
🧪 Arcana (Secret Knowledge)
Secondary power that provides a chance for double enchantment application.
- Example: 25 Arcana provides a 25% chance for double enchanting
- Maximum: 100%
☯️ Rectification (Harmony)
Balancing element that reduces the negative impact of Quanta.
- Example: With 100 Quanta and 50 Rectification, the amplification range is from -25% to +50%
- Maximum: 100%

Enchanting Process
To enchant an item:

- Press the "Enchant" button
Items and lapis can be retrieved at any time. Block detection radius has been increased by 1 block upward for better compatibility with expanded systems.
When placing the first enchanting table, the player receives the "Ars Arcana" book - a guide to the new enchanting system.
The new system can be disabled with the command:
/scoreboard players set #nadir.config nadir.config.enable_new_enchanting 0
And re-enabled by setting the value to 1.
