Nether Under Overworld
This datapack/server-side mod for Minecraft provides a unique way to travel between dimensions. Instead of traditional portals, you can cross the bedrock barrier separating the Overworld and the Nether.
How It Works
Standing on bedrock at the bottom of the Overworld automatically teleports you to the upper layers of the Nether while maintaining the same X and Z coordinates. Similarly, touching your head against bedrock at the top of the Nether transports you to the bottom of the Overworld.
Teleportation Features
In survival and adventure modes, teleportation automatically creates an air pocket at the destination point, ensuring safe travel. In creative mode and spectator mode, teleportation occurs without creating air pockets so that operators and spectators don't affect the world.
Compatibility and Settings
The mod pairs perfectly with mods that disable traditional portal usage, since Nether Under Overworld maintains a 1:1 coordinate ratio between dimensions, unlike the standard 8:1 ratio.
Two versions of the mod are available: for the standard Nether with 128-block height and for the amplified Nether with 256-block height. For custom Nether height settings, you can modify values in the corresponding functions and predicates.
The mod can be safely uninstalled and reinstalled at any time without losing progress.
