Nice Mob Equipment
Nice Mob Equipment fundamentally changes the equipment of mobs that spawn in your world. During generation, each creature is randomly assigned gear - this could be armor of various types with unique patterns and designs, main attack weapons, or off-hand items. Some equipment pieces may be enchanted, making mobs more dangerous and unpredictable.
Particularly interesting are mobs that spawn with player heads. These can be either standard heads added by the datapack itself, or unique heads belonging to real server players (or your own head in single-player mode).
Important feature: starting from version 1.21.5, the complexity of mob equipment increases as you move away from the world center (coordinates XZ: 0, 0). The further you travel from spawn, the more dangerous and higher quality gear local inhabitants receive.
Setup and Management
The datapack works immediately after installation and requires no additional actions from the player. Everything is configured for instant use.
For servers based on PaperMC (and derivative versions such as Purpur), you need to activate the following setting in configuration files:
allow-non-player-entities-on-scoreboards: true
This ensures the correct operation of all mod features.
Users can independently configure the list of mobs that receive random equipment. To do this, you need to edit the tags in the file:
/data/eden/tags/entity_type/valid_for_equipment.json
Technical Information
The modification is fully compatible with the latest versions of Minecraft and optimized to work in both single-player mode and multiplayer servers. The random equipment generation system considers game balance and doesn't disrupt the core gameplay, while providing interesting variety in every new encounter with enemies.
