No AI Spawn Eggs

This mod adds a special tab in creative mode filled with spawn eggs for creatures without artificial intelligence. Originally created for convenient screenshot captures of mobs that no longer run away from the player or attack each other, this tool is also excellent for developing custom maps and other creative projects.

How It Works

The used spawn eggs create creatures with the activated NoAI NBT tag. This standard game feature disables mob AI, preventing the execution of any behavior programmed into their artificial intelligence. For example, creatures won't be able to move or pathfind. However, some environmental reactions may persist - zombies will still burn in sunlight.

Compatibility with Other Mods

The mod successfully works with creatures added by other modifications. In rare cases, some mobs from third-party mods may partially retain their behavior even with disabled AI. This is related to the implementation specifics of those mods and cannot be fixed within this project.

Practical Applications

The developer created this mod after encountering difficulties when recording videos with randomly moving mobs. The simple solution significantly eased the content creation process, and since then many authors on YouTube and other platforms have started using this tool to simplify filming.

Alternative Methods

Although standard Minecraft commands provide more flexible control over creatures, they can be difficult to remember, especially for players who rarely use the command block. This mod offers intuitive and fast access to the required functionality.
