No Spoiler Recipe Book

Tired of Minecraft's recipe book instantly revealing all crafting secrets? This datapack transforms the recipe system, bringing back the spirit of discovery to the game!

How the Mechanism Works

Recipes in the book will now appear gradually - only after you craft the corresponding item for the first time. For example, after smelting iron ingot, you won't see the flint and steel recipe. The new recipe will only unlock when you find flint and gather all the necessary ingredients to create this item.

Installation in Existing World

If you want to use the datapack in an already created world, simply enable LAN mode with cheat support (if not previously activated) and execute the command /recipe take your_username *. This action will delete all previously unlocked recipes, allowing you to start collecting recipes from scratch.

The idea for creating this project came while watching a streamer who was rediscovering Minecraft "blind" and deliberately avoided using the recipe book. To my surprise, it turned out that no one had previously created a solution that limited recipe disclosure only to already crafted items - I had to fix this situation myself.

Open Source

The project is completely open - GitHub provides an automated script for working with recipes and instructions for adapting the datapack to the desired game version. You can freely create your own versions of the modification for any Minecraft versions and publish them online.

Important note: This datapack works correctly with the vanilla game version. When using it with other datapacks, you'll need to pre-process their recipes using the special script provided in the project repository.
