No Tree Punching - Realistic Early Game Survival
This Minecraft mod enhances the realism of the initial gameplay stages by modifying the core resource gathering mechanics. The fundamental concept: blocks don't drop anything when broken without the proper tool. This completely transforms the survival approach during the first minutes of gameplay.
Mod Features
Early Gameplay
- Harvest leaves without tools to obtain sticks (vanilla mechanics, but extremely important here)
- Mine gravel without specialized tools to acquire flint
- Process flint on exposed stone surfaces to create flint shards through knapping
- Craft flint knives to gather plant materials and create plant string
- Flint axes enable wood collection and crafting table construction
- Flint pickaxe, hoe, and shovel serve as early-game tools

Additional Changes

- Introduced knives made from all available materials, usable as weak swords or crafting tools
- Saws - weaker axe versions essential for converting wood to planks and planks to sticks
- Mattocks - versatile multi-functional tools combining shovel, axe, and hoe capabilities
