Not Enough Glyphs
Welcome to the world of Not Enough Glyphs (abbreviated as NEG) - an addon for Ars Nouveau that transforms your spells into something more than just magic.
Unique Mod Features
Trail Projectile - this glyph creates a projectile that leaves a trail behind, activating the spell several times before disappearing. Imagine a lingering version of a regular projectile that leaves a magical trail.
Plow - that very missing glyph from the "Spellbook of all trades" set. Allows you to plow soil and perform other hoe-related actions.
Plane - a non-repeating version of the lingering effect. Can be used to create an area of effect for following spells, even if they don't originally support it. Perfect for creating circles, cylinders, and hollow squares.
SpellBinder - Revolution in Spell Storage
SpellBinder is an alternative to the traditional spellbook. This unique item can store up to 25 spells in the form of caster tomes or spell parchments. An ideal solution for spells you no longer plan to edit, or for sharing magic without transferring the entire book.
Threads for SpellBinder
Like ars armor, SpellBinder can accept special threads. Although threads created for armor technically fit into SpellBinder, there's no guarantee they will work - this feature may be removed in the future. Special book threads are provided for these slots:
-
Focus Threads - shapers or summoning, as well as elemental ones (if AE is loaded), allow activating glyph combinations when casting spells from the binder, even if they don't provide additional stats. Allows obtaining triple focus special effects or simply more versatility.
-
Randomize Thread - love randomness? This thread gives each glyph in the spell a random buff or debuff.
-
Slow Power, Cheap Damage - a pair of threads with tradeoffs. One slows down your spells but gives a spell power buff, the other makes them significantly cheaper but very weak. Stat tuning is likely during the beta phase.
Compatibility with Other Addons
Regarding the repackaging of glyphs from other addons - they automatically disable themselves if the original addon is present. This also includes any custom behaviors they might have.
From TMG: Ray, Chain, Reverse Direction and most filters
From Omega: Propagators based on vanilla forms, plus Flatten to fill the shovel path tool
From Elemental: Arc/Homing projectile forms and their propagators
From Trinkets: Filter:Self and Filter:Not Self
