Not What It Seems
Tired of constantly changing blocks in Minecraft? Want to preserve the attractive appearance of some changing elements? This mod is created specifically for you!
What the Modification Offers
Not What It Seems adds many new blocks that serve as static alternatives to changing elements such as grass, agricultural crops, and saplings.
Getting Started
To begin, create a Copying Device. Place the necessary items in it along with paper. All items except paper will not be consumed in the process.
Features of Cardboard Blocks
Cardboard blocks (for example, from chorus fruits and mushroom blocks) allow you to change the visible side when clicking with the Shift key held. Two new keys (by default I and O) allow you to select the opposite side from the one you're looking at, or select both sides along the axis of your view respectively.
Changing Block Appearance
To change the appearance of agricultural crops, passion flowers, bamboo, pickerelweed, and similar blocks, simply click on them with Shift held. To change bamboo's age, you need to click on it normally, while Shift-click changes the foliage. Soil blocks (grass, podzol, mycelium, glowing mycelium, and poison moss) can be crafted with one wheat seed to get their texture on all sides.
Void Blocks
Void blocks are a special type of blocks created from 4 obsidian and 1 Ender Pearl. They look like End Gateways. The following variants are available:
- Hardened (work as solid blocks): crafted with glass
- Diluted (Nether portal texture): crafted with a water bucket
- Restrained (portal size): activated with shears
All these variants are compatible with each other.
Compatibility with Other Mods
The mod is compatible with:
- Quark
- Swamp Expansion
- Upgrade Aquatic
- Endergetic Expansion
- Bloomful
- Atmospheric
- Autumnity
- Buzzier Bees
