NotEnoughItems Unofficial 1.7.10 - Continuation of Mod Development
This project represents the further development of the famous NotEnoughItems mod specifically for Minecraft version 1.7.10. Development is handled by the team behind the Gregtech: New Horizons modpack, who have added numerous features inspired by or ported from JustEnoughItems.
The mod has been thoroughly tested with all mods included in the GTNH pack, as well as a limited set of other popular mods (including Reika's mods). Although the developers have made every effort to maintain backward compatibility, the main focus remains on the mods used in the GTNH modpack.
New Features and Improvements
One of the key advantages of this version is the significant performance improvement. Item list searching now uses parallel streams and utilizes multiple processor cores, providing search speeds 2-6 times faster compared to the original version. Recipe handler loading is also performed in parallel.
The interface features a convenient search text field with support for standard functions: moving forward and backward, text selection, and other capabilities. The bookmark system allows you to mark items you plan to craft - simply press the 'A' key or configure your own hotkey.
The bookmark panel can be hidden and shown using the default B key. The item subsets menu is only available when bookmarks are not displayed. Utility and cheat buttons now automatically align and wrap based on the interface size.
Technical Improvements
The item list is no longer regenerated from the item registry with every inventory load. Optional support for JEI or Creative-style tabs has been added. Tab display requires explicit support from ItemStack, otherwise the first two letters of the handler name are used.
Tabs and handlers are loaded from a CSV configuration in the JAR file (or optionally from the configuration folder). For mod authors, NBT IMCEvents registerHandlerInfo and removeHandlerInfo are available to add handler information using the same fields as the CSV file.
Advanced Search and Navigation
Enhanced mod-specific search has been implemented using the @[Mod]->[item] syntax. For example, @Gregtech->iron ingot allows you to quickly find iron ingots specifically from the Gregtech mod. This feature was made possible through dual filtering by subset and pattern matching.
Switching between Recipe, Utility, and Cheat modes is now done by CTRL-clicking the wrench icon. Tools and items from GT5u, as well as tools from GT6, now work correctly with the overlay recipe transfer function.
Additional Changes
The project is distributed under the LGPL license, allowing free use with the mandatory condition of returning any modifications to the community. The TMI style and inventory save/load state functions have been removed from the mod.
