Nox - A Mob and Difficulty Overhaul
![]()
MAIN INFORMATION
The Nox modification represents a comprehensive overhaul of mobs and game difficulty that aims to bring back the era when night was genuinely frightening and posed a real threat to players.
In this mod, almost all types of hostile creatures in Minecraft have been modified. Each monster has received its unique enhancements and new abilities that make encounters with them more tense and strategically challenging.
The complete list of implemented changes can be reviewed in the corresponding README file available in the project's source code.
❗ IMPORTANT NOTE: Currently, the modification is in the beta testing stage. Developers are actively collecting feedback regarding the balance of implemented modifications. Basic configuration settings are already available in the release, with more extensive options planned for future updates.
TECHNICAL ASPECTS
Server-side installation of the modification is required for its operation. As for players, installing the client version on their end is not mandatory - it's an optional feature.
Porting to Forge is not currently planned in the roadmap. However, it's worth noting that the licensing conditions allow any enthusiast to undertake the implementation of such adaptation independently.
