OAReborn

OAReborn is a complete rewrite of the OpenAutomation mod for Minecraft versions 1.8 and above. This addon introduces various items and mechanisms into the game, with laser transmission systems being the primary feature.

Block Functionality Features

All blocks with a single output connection support two operating modes (selected in settings). The first mode allows receiving energy from any side but transmitting only through a specific face (visually indicated by a model with one flat side - this is the output). The second mode also receives energy from all sides but transmits it through the opposite face (the model has six flat sides).

Available Elements

Player Lasers - allow moving the character along the laser line with RF energy consumption. Use Shift+click to change the output direction.

Energy Lasers - transmit energy over distance with some losses. Rotation of the output face is done via Shift+click.

Laser Mirrors - reflect laser beams at right angles according to their orientation. Rotated with right mouse click.

Laser Splitters - split the incoming beam into two directions. Input ports are small recessed mirrors, outputs are full-block sized faces. Rotation is performed with right click.

Laser Receivers - receive laser signals and transmit them further. The output is always on the side opposite to the input.

Creative RF Tool (creative mode only) - a tool without texture and name that completely fills machines with RF energy when right-clicked on them.
