Open2Online [Forge] - Turn Your Local Game into an Online Server
With this mod, your local Minecraft server becomes accessible over the internet. No more need for Realms or special LAN emulators - play with friends from anywhere!
Starting the server is very simple: type the /open2online command in chat, and the server will start with the current world settings. Alternatively, you can configure the server manually via the
button in the pause menu.
If someone has trouble connecting to your server, use the "Recreate Firewall Rules" function.
Starting from version 1.0.0, it's possible to launch a local server with custom settings for more flexible configuration.
Solving Common Issues
Failed to Open Port
Try changing the port or the library being used. If the port still doesn't open, your internet provider is likely blocking port forwarding.
Friend Can't Connect to My Server
Make sure you're not using a VPN. Click the "Recreate Firewall Rules" button and restart the server. Check if the port is open using any online port checking service (not through the router page). If the port is closed, something is blocking the connection. If the port is open - everything should work correctly. Your friend might also need to recreate their firewall rules.
Requires UPnP support on your router (or NAP-PMP/PCP for version 1.0.0+).
