Original Painting Recipe
This data pack presents a simple crafting recipe - it restores the original recipe for creating paintings that was used in the earliest versions of Minecraft.
The historical background is interesting: paintings first appeared in the Indev build from February 23, 2010. At that time, their creation required 8 wooden planks of any type and 1 wool block of any color. Just 4 days later, on February 27, 2010, in the Infdev version, this recipe was changed to the one players know now - 8 sticks and 1 unit of wool.
With this pack, you can return to the origins and use the original recipe: any 8 wooden planks combined with any type of wool will give you the desired painting.
Important note: The game may display a warning that the data pack is outdated when selecting the game version, but it fully functions in the version range from 1.13 to 1.20.
