Origins: Classes
An add-on for the Origins mod designed for Fabric. Now, in addition to choosing your origin, you can select a character specialization. Classes provide more modest benefits compared to origins but are completely free of drawbacks.
Available Classes
- Archer: improved shooting accuracy, reduced slowdown when drawing a bow
- Beastmaster: tamed animals gain extra hearts and damage; potions also affect nearby pets
- Blacksmith: crafted tools and armor have enhanced characteristics; efficient repair via anvil and crafting table
- Cleric: doubles potion duration; improved enchanting abilities
- Cook: cooked food provides better saturation; extra experience for smoking food
- Explorer: starting kit with 9 empty maps, compass, and clock; no exhaustion from running
- Farmer: bone meal works twice as effectively; chance for double harvest yield
- Lumberjack: extra 2 planks when processing logs; ability to fell entire trees with one axe strike
- Merchant: villager trades don't get used up; wandering traders offer exclusive goods
- Miner: faster mining of stone blocks; no exhaustion from digging
- Nitwit: no special talents. :)
- Rancher: chance for twins when breeding animals; probability of double loot from killed creatures
- Rogue: name not visible through walls; stealth after 10 seconds of sneaking (quiet steps, double damage from behind)
- Warrior: +1 damage with any weapon; reduced slowdown when using a shield
Creating Custom Classes
You can add personalized classes through datapacks by creating an origin and adding it to the layer at data/origins-classes/origin_layers/class.json.
