Origins: Classes (Forge) - Class Expansion for Origins
This is an unofficial port of the Origins: Classes mod for the Forge platform, which expands the capabilities of the main Origins (Forge) mod. The mod allows players to choose not only their origin but also their character specialization through a class system.
Class Features
Each class provides unique bonuses without negative effects, making gameplay more diverse and strategic. Here are the available options:
Archer: Improved shooting accuracy and less slowdown when using a bow.
Beastmaster: Tamed animals gain extra hearts and damage, and potions also affect them.
Blacksmith: Crafted tools and armor have enhanced characteristics, and repairs are more efficient.
Cleric: Enhanced potions with extended duration and improved enchanting capabilities.
Cook: Prepared food provides better saturation, and cooking in a smoker grants additional experience.
Explorer: Starting kit of maps, compass, and clock, plus no exhaustion from running.
Farmer: Bone meal works twice as effectively, and crops sometimes yield double the harvest.
Lumberjack: Extra planks when processing logs and the ability to fell entire trees with one strike.
Merchant: Unlimited trades with villagers and special offers from wandering traders.
Miner: Faster mining of stone blocks without exhaustion.
Nitwit: A character without special talents :)
Rancher: Chance of animal twins and doubled loot from killed creatures.
Rogue: Invisible name through walls and stealth mode with bonus damage from behind.
Warrior: Additional damage with all weapons and less slowdown when using a shield.
Creating Custom Classes
The mod supports creating custom classes through datapacks. To do this, you need to create an origin and add it to the layer at data/origins-classes/origin_layers/class.json. However, standard ability types from the original mod are not supported.
