Origins (Forge)

Important Notice: Development of this project has been discontinued and no further updates are planned.

This version represents an unofficial port of the Origins mod for the Forge platform, originally created for Fabric. The mod fully preserves the functionality of the original version without adding or removing any content.

Features and Capabilities

The mod introduces 9 unique origins into the game, each with its own characteristics:

Enderian

• Teleportation ability
• Increased interaction distance
• Takes damage from water and rain
• Cannot see entities wearing pumpkin helmets

Merling

• Unlimited underwater breathing
• Enhanced vision in aquatic environments
• Innate "Aqua Affinity" ability
• Increased swimming speed
• Ignores gravity underwater
• Cannot breathe on land

Phantom

• Phase through blocks in phantom form
• Invisibility in phantom state
• Burns in sunlight outside phantom form
• Accelerated hunger depletion in phantom state
• Maximum 7 hearts of health

Elytrian

• Built-in elytra wings
• Ability to launch into the air
• Increased kinetic damage
• Can only wear chainmail armor
• Enhanced fall damage
• Receives weakness and slowness in low-ceiling areas

Blazeborn

• Immunity to fire and lava
• Increased damage while on fire
• Immune to hunger and poison
• Spawns in the Nether
• Vulnerable to water and rain

Avian

• Slow falling
• Air speed equals ground speed
• Increased movement speed
• Lays an egg after waking up
• Requires sleeping in high places
• Cannot eat meat

Arachnid

• Wall climbing like a spider
• Creates cobwebs when attacking
• Not slowed by cobwebs
• Sees targets in cobwebs
• Creates cobwebs from string
• Only 7 health points
• Eats only meat

Shulk

• 9 additional inventory slots (preserved after death)
• Built-in armor
• Mining stone without tools
• Cannot use shields
• Accelerated hunger depletion

Feline

• No fall damage
• Enhanced jumps while sprinting
• Improved vision in darkness
• Frightens creepers
• Can only mine small stone clusters
• Maximum 9 hearts of health

All abilities are activated through assigned key bindings.

Compatibility

Addons created for the Fabric version are not compatible with this Forge version. Data packs from the original version should work correctly. If any issues are detected, please report them as bugs.
