Origins Minus

Important Notice: Currently, Origins Minus for Minecraft 1.21 is only compatible with Origins version 1.13.0-alpha.9 due to issues in later releases.

Origins Minus is a collection of simplified origins designed to replace the default set. This mod requires the main Origins mod to function.

Concept and Features

Each origin in this collection is developed following these principles:

• Easy to understand - abilities are simple to comprehend and remember
• Unique gameplay experience - every origin adds something special to the gameplay
• Reduced difficulty - minimizes challenges in specific game aspects
• Minimal drawbacks - either completely absent or very minor
• Optional fun - doesn't punish for forgetfulness or unused opportunities
• Style diversity - encourages different approaches through movement mechanics
• Roleplay flexibility - theme leaves room for creative interpretation

It's important to note that the new origins are not balanced against vanilla gameplay or each other - they're created purely for gaming enjoyment.

Compatibility and Versions

Datapack versions can be downloaded directly for various Minecraft versions. Please note that using this pack with Origins Forge or unmarked versions may result in some abilities not functioning properly.

Additional Information

Some origins are adapted with permission from the Origins Plus mod by Dan's Other Clone, which explains the "Minus" name.

This mod is included in the Tinkerer's Quilt pack - our modpack focused on gameplay convenience and self-expression.
