Origins: The Architect

An add-on for the Origins mod

"A distant descendant of the now-extinct Builders. Your home world has been destroyed, and you find yourself trapped in this one. Due to your unnatural nature and connection to spatial magic, you gain several advantages and disadvantages."

Advantages

Spatial Stride: The primary key activates/deactivates the ability. Initially can only be activated while on the ground. Marks the Y-level beneath you, creating the illusion of solid ground in the air.

You can walk on air at the marked height, but will take fall damage when descending below it.

Dimensional Displacement: Secondary key (without crouching) temporarily makes you ethereal. You become invisible (including armor and particles), cannot interact with blocks or creatures, and are invisible to them. Cannot use items, but can pick up and drop things.

Architect's Pocket: Secondary key while crouching provides access to your ender chest at any time. Useful in the early stages of the game.

Architect's Focus: Crafted from 4 polished blackstone blocks around an emerald block. Stores positions for subsequent teleportations and allows you to bring along a creature you're looking at. Resets by recrafting.

The device automatically activates Spatial Stride when held in the main hand, even while airborne, but does not protect against fall damage.

Peritia Efficiency: Experience required per level is divided by 5. Anvils do not require levels.

Nonflammable: You cannot catch fire, but take damage from fire, lava, and magma blocks.

Unwithering: You do not take damage from the wither effect, though the effect can still be applied to you.

Disadvantages

Aurophobia: Contact with gold inflicts significant damage over time. Cannot use golden items or blocks. Even touching other players wearing golden armor causes harm. Damage is one heart every 0.2 seconds of contact. Fire resistance protects, but fire protection does not. Golden items cannot be consumed.

Unnatural Composition: Armor is only 70% effective. Diamond armor now provides less protection than regular iron armor.

Fragile Comprehension: Taking 5 or more damage at once causes you to lose 5 levels.

Unstable Form: You take twice as much damage from magical sources, including potions, thorns, etc.

Abnormally Tuned: Cannot use ender pearls or chorus fruit.

Conclusion

This origin isn't the most balanced, but compared to other powerful options, it fits well within the game's balance.
