oSzoukaua's: Lucky Blocks - Minecraft Data Pack
This project was created by developer oSzoukaua and is based on the popular "Lucky Blocks" concept from the original modification.
Main Features
The key feature of this data pack is the ability to craft Lucky Blocks with different luck levels ranging from +100 to -100. The crafting recipes are quite simple: use a dispenser in the center of the crafting table surrounded by gold blocks for a neutral block with zero luck. To change the luck level, replace some gold blocks with coal blocks (decreases luck) or diamonds (increases luck).
Random Events
Each luck level offers numerous random events - from incredibly amazing and desirable to frustratingly annoying and unwanted. This unpredictability makes Lucky Blocks such an exciting addition to the game.
Additional Functions
The data pack also includes many additional features like Lucky Beacons - a special mechanic activated by placing Lucky Blocks on active beacon blocks. Many other interesting elements can be obtained through the random events system.
Technical Specifications
This is a Server-Side solution, meaning it needs to be installed either in a single-player world or on the server side for multiplayer gameplay. Currently, for user convenience, no resource pack is required while maintaining custom textures for special blocks. It's worth noting that this feature may change in future updates.
Development Transparency
The author honestly states that they don't claim the original idea of the "Lucky Blocks" concept. Being the first implementation of command-oriented content since version 1.8.9, the data pack is still undergoing optimization, however the developer has made maximum efforts to ensure stable performance.
