Pandora's Box - Pandora's Box for Minecraft
This mod is based on the ancient Greek myth of Pandora - the first woman on earth who received a mysterious box from Zeus as a wedding gift with the instruction never to open it. Unable to resist curiosity, Pandora broke the prohibition and released all conceivable misfortunes and sufferings into the world. Only one thing remained inside - hope, which gave humanity the strength to continue the struggle.
The mod adds the "Pandora's Box" item to the game, which can be crafted independently, found in dungeons, or obtained through creative mode. Each opening of the box triggers a random event - from harmless changes to catastrophic consequences capable of completely transforming the surrounding world.
Features and Capabilities
Pandora's Box can also appear in special structures (this feature requires the installed Recurrent Complex mod, but in version 1.16.5 this capability is temporarily unavailable due to the need for a complete revision of the generation system).
Important recommendations:
- Always create backup copies of worlds before mass use of boxes - consequences can be unpredictable
- Set difficulty above peaceful for maximum immersion
- All box parameters are configurable through configuration files
- Use in modpacks is permitted provided authorship is indicated
