Paranoia
Immerse yourself in a completely new level of tension in Minecraft with the Paranoia modification. This unique development introduces an engaging paranoia mechanic that fundamentally changes gameplay under certain circumstances. Prepare for a creepy and unsettling experience as your environment becomes hostile and unpredictable.
Conditions for Paranoia Activation
Activate the paranoia mechanic in survival mode in the Overworld under the following conditions:
- Receiving injury
- Experiencing hunger
- Being outdoors during rain
- Encountering thunderstorms
- Facing darkness
- Submerging underwater
- Exploring underground areas
Important: paranoia activates only in the Overworld and in survival mode.
Paranoia Effects
When paranoia takes hold of you, the game world transforms:
- Inability to sleep
- Mobs begin to stalk you
- Appearance of random messages
- Occurrence of strange sounds
- Random damage reception
- Audible footsteps
- Creeper sounds
- Sudden loss of all hunger points
- Random dropping of the held item (especially dangerous near lava!)
- Sounds of blocks breaking (underground only)
- Eerie atmospheric sounds (underground only)
- Fog becomes closer
Fog System Overhaul
The mod also completely overhauls the fog system for a more dynamic experience:
- Reduced visibility range on the surface (10-12 chunks)
- Increased visibility at height (20+ chunks)
- Dynamic fog rendering changes in real-time for enhanced realism and "bird's-eye view" effect
